Brief about the University
Istanbul Kultur University is a private university that was founded in 1997 by a trust with more than 50 years of experience in the primary and secondary education sector. The University builds on a tradition of quality and high academic achievement, of which increasing international academic networking has become an integral part. In addition to the academic excellence, one of the main attractions that Istanbul Kultur University has to offer is its diversity; more than 6 percent of the students enrolled to IKU are international student?, either full time or exchange, from approximately 70 different countries all over the world. The university offers a unique experience to the students, who wish to broaden their horizons not only through academic development but also through learning from other cultures by means of meeting each other.
At Istanbul Kultur University special emphasis is given to cooperation agreements with universities abroad. IKU has more than 210 agreements (exchange. double degree. 2+2 Degree Compietion-for Vocational School Students-agreements) with more than 130 partner universities in 5 continents. As the result of mutual collaboration agreements with the universities of the EU member states, the USA. Canada, Australia. Latin America. and Asia. Students enrolled to all programs are actively involved in internationalization especially with respect to international exchange The graduates of Vocational Schools who want to continue their education abroad and receive an undergraduate degree have the right to do so at the our partner universities in the USA.
Istanbul Kultur University has 3 campuses which are located within a 20 minute walk from each other and within 10 minutes from the dormitories. Students can develop themselves not only through their lectures and rich resources at the library, but also through participation in a number of clubs, public lectures, concerts and exhibitions. All campuses have cafeterias/dining services. The university is located within an easy reach of the Ataturk International Airport, and a 5-minute walk from bus/metrobus stops and metro station which gives students an easy access to the city centre.

Application and Admission Procedures:
Step 1:
Student sends us a scanned copy of the following documents;
- Secondary School Result (Please note the D’s are also accepted).
- International Passport
- Pay Application fee
Step 2:
Student gets Provisional Acceptance letter 2 weeks after applying. Please note that students will be required to pay 1/5 of the total tuition fee into the school account (Tuition fee is refundable if visa is refused).
Step 3:
Student receives final acceptance letter 4 weeks after payment of the tuition fee.
Step 4:
Student goes to the embassy.
